EGG GALLERY

Why the TRACIAK name?

My legal name is TRACY, derived from TRACIAK (Pronounced Thray-chek).

My lineage is Polish-Czek.  My grandfather changed the name in the 1920s' or 1930s'.

For what reason; is lost to history.

In late 2006, before my art becomes widely appreciated, I have decided to name my egg artwork

THE TRACIAK EGGS.

How a TRACIAK EGG is made

A TRACIAK Eggs is a handcrafted one of a kind piece of art.  The shells are Fine Silver hand spun on a spinning lathe.  The exterior design is hand cut using a special operation incorporating a decorative lathe.  The color is real glass enamel in powder form, baked onto the Fine Silver in a kiln at 1350 (degrees F).  Other elements of the eggs are cast and fabricated.  Each egg consists of over 30 individual pieces.  It takes me about 40 to 80 hours to complete each egg.  Most of the eggs have a special surprise inside, generally a piece of wearable jewelry.
